The Ripple Effect

noun. a spreading effect or series of consequences caused by a single action or event.

Improving wellbeing at work increases productivity, creativity, and innovation.

It’s been proven in a 2019 study by Oxford Research Centre.
At Ripple&Co, we believe business can not only contribute to, but also enhance individuals’ wellbeing. The ripple effect of increasing an individual’s wellbeing is ultimately better business performance. Focusing on the key drivers of wellbeing, we help organisations realise this goal.

The five key drivers of wellbeing:

We spend a third of our adult lives at work. Almost nothing has as great an impact on our wellbeing as employment. But evidence shows life satisfaction drops when we hit working age.

Using an evidence-based approach, Ripple&Co support businesses to reverse that trend. Our strategic approach considers all drivers of wellbeing so that work not only enhances an individual’s wellbeing but positively impacts motivation, engagement and ultimately productivity for the whole business.

Security

Naturally, employers have a duty of care to keep us safe at work, but security also refers to our sense of financial security and if we feel our employment is secure. After all, so much of our wellbeing rests on our work – money, purpose, meaning, social interactions.

Health

All aspects of our health are important to our wellbeing - physical, mental and emotional health. Our work should enable this and can contribute to it.

Relationships

Interpersonal relationships are the most important factor in job satisfaction, critically the relationship with our line manager. 70% of our motivation is influenced by our manager.

Purpose

An organisation’s values and vision play a key role in engaging and motivating us. Not only do we need to believe in these values but also feel that we play a role in achieving the business’ vision.

Environment

The physical space in which we work affects our wellbeing but so too does the cultural environment of a business and whether we feel it is a supportive, inclusive and an enabling place to work.

OUR VALUES ARE OUR PROMISE TO YOU

CARE is what we’re all about. Care for the individual and care for those who support them. Ripple is committed and is ultimately driven by the desire to care for the individual knowing the impact that good mental health can have on a person’s life and the positive ripple effect it causes.

COLLABORATION is a key ingredient of our work ethic. We’re a small but fast-growing business with a big heart. We collaborate with some of the best trainers, coaches, experts and leaders in the wellbeing space. We punch way above our weight, exactly because of our collaborative spirit.

INNOVATION wakes us up in the morning (literally). We’re full of ideas and get excited about new ways to improve wellbeing. It’s got to be evidence-based and if possible, evidence-generating. We believe that what gets measured, gets improved.

EXCELLENCE is our middle name, because we believe good enough, isn’t. We always strive for the best possible results. After all, this is personal. We’re helping people change their lives, be the best version of themselves, to reach their potential and achieve their version of excellence. And we support those who do this for others.

Our philosophy is…  by changing the world for just one person we can cause a Ripple effect that keeps on going.

70%

of employee motivation is influenced by their manager.
